Painting of the Week: “Homeward”

“‘Homeward’ is inspired by that feeling of belonging certain places give you, a sense of calm and familiar. Michigan is filled with these beautiful places, rolling green landscapes, and open fields and farmland. In particular where the grapes grow give me that warm feeling, a glow. The road is symbolic of accessibility, so the viewer feels they belong in the way the landscapes make me feel when I’m standing there.”

Size: 24″ x 24″
Medium: Oil pastel on board
